Please take note of application deadlines and dates projected for nominations and appointments. Any additional positions will be added to this list as they arise. This schedule may be modified as necessary.

You will be notified if nominated and/or appointed. If you are not initially appointed to a board for which you have applied, your application will be resubmitted automatically until such time that you are appointed, or your application expires. Applications remain on file for one year.

Please note: The application schedule is subject to change.

Mecklenburg County accepts applications for all boards year-round. Applicants are especially needed for the committees that are listed below:

  • Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee
  • Board of Equalization and Review
  • Groundwater Advisory Committee (General Public, Well Contractor/Pump Installer, Health, and Realtor or Developer needed)
  • Human Resources Advisory Council
  • Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (Juvenile Defense Attorney needed)
  • Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee
  • Storm Water Advisory Committee (Residential Neighborhood representative needed)
